What does caregiving with us look like?

Many of our caregivers provide companionship-focused support, including:

• Conversation & companionship
• Meal preparation
• Light housekeeping
• Running errands
• Helping clients stay independent
• Emotional support & daily assistance

Some cases may involve more hands-on personal care depending on the client’s needs and your comfort level/experience.

Getting Started With Abacus

  3. Complete onboarding paperwork and discuss your availability/preferences
  4. We’ll reach out with potential client matches
  5. Meet the client alongside our team before beginning care

Who makes a great caregiver?

We value compassion, patience, reliability, and kindness above all else.

Experience is always appreciated, but many caregiving skills can come from everyday life experiences. Things like parenting, caring for loved ones, customer service, and simply having a heart for helping others can all translate into caregiving.
